Bittersweet | Murfreesboro Baby Photography { frogs and faeries }

I've had three 12 month sessions in the past couple of weeks with my final one of the year on Thursday, and I have to say, I'm a little sad. It's been such a great year with all of my babies and I've gotten so used to seeing each of them every few months. I'm gonna miss you guys! I better see you in six months for your 18 month sessions!

Mr. and Mrs. Sanders | Murfreesboro Wedding Photography { frogs and faeries }

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of photographing Michelle and Jason's wedding on perhaps the coldest day of the year so far! If you'll remember back to a week ago today, we had our first snowfall of the year! That's luck if you ask me! I'm sure Michelle and Jason will never forget that about their wedding day. You guys will have to keep a tally of how many times it snows on your anniversary throughout your marriage!

My Red Head | Murfreesboro Children's Photography { frogs and faeries }

Oh, my sweet little man. Words cannot begin to describe how much I adore this kiddo. I can't believe that my Jakey will be two in just a couple months. Time has flown by since he entered our lives.

Jake is such a bright spot in all of our lives. He is quite possibly one of the happiest children I have ever met. There just isn't that much that ticks him off (well, as long as you don't include when his sister steals his Bear Bear). He is content with just about everything that comes his way.

Jake is FUN. FUN. FUN. He is already a little comedian - doing things all day long just to make us laugh at him. We're certain that he is going to be the class clown that somehow manages to escape all trouble b/c he's just so darn cute.

He is a lover. I firmly believe that he is going to make a great husband one day! Nothing warms my heart more than when he comes up to me and grabs a hold of my leg and gives me a squeeze. Ok, well, maybe when I'm holding him, and he absentmindedly starts patting my back. He loves to kiss in any form - making it "pop" on the lips, blowing kisses, or "mokimo" (eskimo) kisses.

I'm also quite sure that he is going to be a politician one day. We can't go anywhere without Jake making at least a few new friends. It never fails that when we leave restaurants, Jake has to tell each table that we pass "Bye" and either wave or blow them a kiss.

He loves to "fix it". I'm not sure my husband has any tools left in his tool box. Handy Manny is Jake's current hero.

He is a dream to photograph and has always been (unlike his sister!). Typically, two year olds are a HARD age to photograph, then throw in the fact that his MOM is the photographer, and it could have been messy. But, nope, not my Jakey! He was awesome!

He is my little man, and I love him dearly. We all do.

Look at the height his Daddy got! Wow!

Like most moms, I tend to stay behind the camera. Things were going so well this day, that I decided to set up some shots and have my hubby snap a few of me and Jake. I am so, so glad that I did. While not technically perfect, I am in love with these photos!

Not quite as much air as Daddy, but look at that face! (notice the other rugrat in the background!)

Now, remember that I didn't head out of the house with the intention of getting behind the camera. Hence the absence of make-up! But I love this one so much - both of my kids smiling! What??

Longest Post Ever! | Murfreesboro Baby Photography { frogs and faeries }

This is the hardest blog post I have ever put together. Because I'm combining six sessions into one sneak peak! This time of the year is always super busy, and with two kiddos of my own at home, it's easy to get behind. I'm doing my best to catch up, and part of it is to shorten the length of my blog posts. I've had to make myself only show 2 images from most of the sessions. Ugh! It's so hard though b/c I love sharing all of my beautiful clients with you!

These are all sessions from the last week or so:

Perhaps waiting the longest on their preview is little 3 month, Knox.

I have to take just a second to talk about this family. I met them at my Halloween mini sessions at Tiaras and Tadpoles in McMinnville. Of course, I immediately fell in love with the boys and their red hair! Then, they came back a few weeks later for my Holiday sessions at Tiaras and Tadpoles. The boys were so excited to see me! We even played Duck, Duck, Goose after we were done! Mom booked a family session last week, and I was so excited! The reason why - these boys are WILD and CRAZY and FUN!! They have so much energy - they run everywhere and never slow down. But they are so good for me. In the midst of all their running around, all I have to do is ask them to do something, and they immediately do it! They are WONDERFUL!!!

Oh, and did I mention how well Mom always does with their outfits???

Mom and Dad - thanks for letting me shoot your ADORABLE boys!

I met the next sweet kiddos a year ago when Ian was turning two and Mom was just barely pregnant with Anna Kate. Then we met up again for Anna Kate's newborn session.

I believe I have found my next HUGE canvas sample. This is one of my most favorite images in a long, long time! Anna Kate - you are stunning!

Then, on to a newborn session with sweet little Ike.

Next, a very fun one year old, Ben.

We ended his session with a very messy cake smash!

Finally, Ryan came back to see me for his 9 month session. He was so, so good. I think we were done in 30 minutes!
