Prayer request, please

For those of you that check this blog daily, I need your help. A member of our family was killed in a car accident last night. Please pray for comfort and healing for the parents of this young man. I know that in the days to come, we will all need some extra help to get through this.

Some weekend sessions may have to be rescheduled due to the funeral.

A Beautiful Boy

This morning, I had the opportunity to do a session with six month old, Baby M, his older brother, and his gorgeous mom. Baby M and Jake could be twins! Both have red hair and blue eyes, and they are only 11 days apart! We definitely have to get the kiddos together for a playdate!

Baby M was totally not into having a photo shoot today! We tried so hard for smiles, but he just wouldn't budge until the very end. Mom, I know you were worried that we wouldn't get any good images, but get ready to have your breath taken away. These are super! Definitely some worthy of wall enlargements or canvas! Mom - I can't wait to hear what you think!

I have some super cute ones with M's baby bum showing that I can't wait to make a storyboard out of!
Big Brother C

Look at that eye contact!

And for the grand finale . . .

I love the emotion shown here. This is why I do what I do!

Thank you!

As I type this, I am filled with so much gratitude toward all of my clients. I can't begin to describe how very, very much I love what I do. It truly is my life's calling. I get to play with fun kiddos and hang out with their cool parents every day! Who else could ask for more than that? I feel such a sense of purpose when handing over my images to parents. I really am helping them capture moments in time that may otherwise be forgotten. I have just realized that I am an artist. Ok, so maybe I don't use watercolors and a paintbrush, but I am creating memories that will decorate a family's life forever.

Thank you, everyone, for allowing me to come into your lives and photograph your children and families.

I love you!

Wowzas!!!!!!!!!

Tonight, I met up with one of my best friends, Callie (who by the way is an awesome hair stylist), and her family. She has two of the cutest girls . . . and, ok, a pretty cool husband too! :) We have been friends for many years, and I am so honored to be able to photograph her family. I had so much fun, and I am lovin' these images! I think these are amazing!

Alright, Callie - leave me some love on here!

Here is my first (successful!) attempt at a sillhouette. I need to work on getting less distracting things at the bottom, but I am loving it! I can't wait to start doing these for everyone!

Here is Brooklyn looking up to her best friend, Holle. This image is so special, it makes me want to cry!

Here is the same image in both b&w and color. I normally have an immediate draw toward one or the other, but I just can't figure out which one I like better. What do you guys think?

Don't worry, Callie. I have a similar image where Preslie is looking straight at the camera, but something about this one really struck me!
Look at all that spunk! I love that girl!!!
One of the only smiles she gave all night!
I can't describe how much I LOVE this image. It is beyond beautiful. It may be the image I am most proud of to date.
Thank you again, Callie and Josh, for allowing me to do this for you. It means so much to me.

Baby Madison

I had the best morning (ok, well, it was actually a crazy morning, but anyways!) with Baby Madison. I LOVE her! She almost makes me want another baby girl. Yes, yes, I said almost! You all know I'm already crazy enough with two little ones! But, a girl can always dream, right? Madison was a photographer's wish come true. How have I been getting so lucky lately? Three great newborns in a row! I must be doin' somethin' right!! Gosh, anyways - I'm so off topic today!! :) Baby Madison was great. She cracked us up by pee-peeing on Daddy (among some other things!). She loved my cocoons. I think I am going to have to start making them for my clients! Once she got into a good deep sleep, we were able to do all that we wanted with her.

Mom and Dad - there were so many more that I wanted to include in your preview, but a girl's gotta stop somewhere, right? I know you are going to love them!

Isn't Mom just beautiful?

Ok, Daddy - this one's for you! You all that know me well know how hard it is for me to post this one!

Stunning . . .
Look at that yummy newborn skin!

Bellies and Babies Seminar

Tonight, I had the awesome opportunity to attend a photography seminar called Bellies and Babies. It focused on maternity and newborn photography. I am so excited because I have a shoot with a newborn baby girl tomorrow. I can't wait to try out some of the new things I learned!

There were also business and marketing aspects of this seminar, so get ready for big changes to come to Frogs and Faeries in the next few months. I am totally ready to take my photography to a higher level and turn my images into art! Don't worry - you know I love my clients, and I will still take care of you! Get ready for lots of incentives and rewards after these changes are in place!

Off to bed as it is almost 12:30 am!!!

Mr. Evan

Tonight, after worry about the impending rain all day, I met up with Evan and his family. They are such an awesome family - so much fun and very laid back - a.k.a. my kind of people! This session included destruction of property (!), a big lollipop, and leeches! Oh, my! Ha! Evan didn't blink an eye through all of this! He was such a good little boy who didn't have his melt down until the very end! :) Check out his AMAZING blue eyes.

Mom and Dad, here you go! Leave me some love and let me know what you think!

I couldn't resist showing this one. I think Evan is just precious here!

Brylee and Jake

This morning, my friend, Denise, stopped by to drop off a cool lavender wrought iron chair she found for me. We decided to take a few pics of her sweet girl, Brylee, in one of the pettis while she was here. You can see the chair in the first pic. While she was here, I had her act silly while I took a few pics of Jake. I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to make your kiddo laugh and snap the shutter at the same time! So, here you go, Denise. You can stop checking the blog every ten minutes now! Thanks for the chair and making Jake crack up!

Look at all that red hair!

He's totally laughing at Denise right here!

Big Man

This morning, I met up with Big Man Noah, Mom, and "My Libby" as Noah calls her. We had so much fun playing around in the water and looking at the trains. Noah will be two very soon. Check out his storyboard.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but . . .

Man, I am lovin' these pics! I wish I had pictures like this of Brooklyn. Like I said in a previous post, I love black and white photos. But the colors in these were so amazing that I didn't turn a single one b&w!!! Little Missy K is so stinkin' cute! She has beautiful blue eyes that really stand out. Mom and Granny - I am hopin' that you love these as much as I do! We definitely need to get one of these babies on canvas!

Oh yeah - check out my new logo. Isn't it purty? I just made it tonight!

Love, love, love this one!!!

My Tiniest Newborn Yet!

Today, I got to photograph my tiniest newborn yet. He has almost made it back up to six pounds! He was so precious! He came wide awake and very alert, but after a feeding and getting cozy in one of my cocoons, he was out! We got some great sleepy baby shots, which you all know are my favorite! I can't wait to watch him grow. Mom and Dad (and Granny!) - here is your teaser! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

This one's for you, Daddy!

An Interesting Night

Tonight I hung out with the coolest family. And by coolest family, I mean that our session included an encounter with a snake, a lime green chair, and a pet butterfly! These are two of the sweetest kids! We had so much fun! Little Man E either has a future in modeling or politics. I can't yet decide which one! Miss K was so lady-like. I really enjoyed hanging out with this family, and we got some spectacular images. Mom and Dad - enjoy your preview! I'll be adding one with our pet butterfly tomorrow, but for now, I have a little girl waiting for me to tuck her into bed!

As promised . . . here's our pet butterfly!

These two are just alike . . . mischievous and full of life!

Look at those eyes!

He was so comfortable in front of the camera!

Simply beautiful . . .

Funny guy!

I love this one!
