Mr. Clean | Middle Tennessee Baby Photography {frogs and faeries}

Ok, I just couldn't resist that title! Mr. Houston is such a cute little baldy! Don't worry, though. My mom says that I didn't have more than peach fuzz on my head until I was almost two, and I have hair thicker than a horse's tail now. :)

Mom wanted to do some outside shots after a studio session. Well, ole Mr. Weather had other plans for us. As soon as Mom knocked on the door, I grabbed the camera and we ran to the park in hopes of beating the storm. Houston was so happy at the park that we were in and out of there in no time.

I can't believe Houston is already six months old. It seems like just yesterday that I was at his house for his newborn session. He still holds the record for the most smiley newborn! He is such a chunky, lovable boy now. I just love him!

Mom - I hope you'll forgive me for such a large sneak peak! ;)

AND - finishing up a cute little one year girl's session. Yes - Kim- I'm talking about you. ;)

Baby Trista | Murfreesboro Baby Photography {frogs and faeries}

Whew! I've met my goal for today: get the wedding and this session blogged! I'm going out of town this weekend for my father's wedding, so I'm working really hard to get ahead since I'll be away from my computer for 3 whole days! I don't know what I'm going to do with a free weekend!

Trista came in for some bonding pictures with Mom and a few of just her cute self. She has the prettiest lashes and big ole blue eyes. She's just lovely.

From This Day Forward | Middle Tennessee Wedding Photography {frogs and faeries}

Saturday was hot - HOT. I don't think there was one person at the Slone-Wilson wedding that didn't know that! It's a good thing they had personalized fans for everyone to use! This was such a beautiful wedding. Melissa is just the sweetest bride, and Brent - you clean up pretty well yourself! :)

Melissa had planned on getting married by the river (and even taking some pics IN the river!!) but it was so muddy from the rain earlier in the week that plans were slightly changed. We still trekked down to the river for some formal shots.

I've got to tell you - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new assistant, Mary Lauren! She has such a great eye for detail and quirky angles. We complement each other so well. Thank you, Mary Lauren!

Without further ado . . .

Sweet Six Monther | Middle Tennessee Baby Photography {frogs and faeries}

Whew! I've been working all day to get caught up. As some of you may know, I'm a big reader. When I say big, I mean B-I-G! I'm pretty much useless until I finish a book. And for the past two weeks, I've been reading the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. If you're not familiar with these novels, they've been turned into an awesome show on HBO called True Blood. (Is it weird that I love anything with vampires? I'll blame it on my mama who let me watch Dark Shadows with her as a kiddo! Love ya, Mama!) The Season 2 premiere is Sunday night, and I'm so, so excited! Especially now that I'm almost done with the series of books. Anyhoo, long story short, I had to abandon the book today and worked ALL day! Right now, I'm afraid that my hand may be permanently in the curvature of holding a mouse! :0)

Meet Kate, my six month session today. She has the blondest hair and big ole blue eyes. Mom and Kate drove all the way down from Hopkinsville for their session! Don't I feel special!! Thanks Mom! I really enjoyed meeting you both. You have a super sweet baby girl!

I love her in the white here:

I've starting working with this awesome framing company located in Cleveland, Tn, that produces some spectacular crafts. They have all kinds of colors of frames and insets to fully customize your print. Here is a sample of a pink frame with a vanilla wavy inset. So cute!

I'm off to bed to get a good night's rest before a super cool wedding tomorrow. The special couple is getting married in front of the river! I'm so excited. It's going to be a beautiful ceremony, and I'm stoked to be a part of it! Keep you fingers crossed that the rain holds off for us, and be on the lookout for an awesome blog post from the wedding in a few days!

Happy Birthday, Baby | Middle Tennessee Baby Photographer (frogs and faeries}

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I met Madi and her awesome parents. She is still just as beautiful as the day I met her. We met up a few weeks ago for Madi's cake smash, and then again tonight for her "official" one year session. You know that old song, "It's My Party, and I'll Cry if I Want to?" Well, I believe that was Madi's theme song for tonight! :) She definitely had us all sweatin' and workin'!

It's a good thing I had my new assistant with me. That's right - I said ASSISTANT! I feel so important now! he, he, he! Meet Mary Lauren. Mary Lauren is a native Murfreesboran who's studying Music Education at Belmont University. She's home for the summer and will be helping me out at various sessions and at weddings. Mary Lauren has a great way with kiddos, and Madi just loved her.

Isn't she just the cutest thing?

Mary Lauren got some great action shots tonight. A lot of you have said that you enjoy a peek into my world from time to time, so here you go!

Brother and Sister | Murfreesboro Children's Photography {frogs and faeries}

You know - I learn something new every session that I have. This time of year, it typically has something to do with wildlife. For example, I've learned that snakes hang out in the tops of trees in Middle Tn (I thought that was only something that happened on the Discovery Channel), about the existence of stingweed, and tonight, I learned that rats are good swimmers. That's right, I said RAT. There was a big ole rodent taking a swim in the creek tonight. Just waiting to meet up with snake I encountered there last year!

Anyhoo, we braved the animal population tonight for a super fun session. Baby Billy and his big sister Kayley (there are so many ways to spell Kaylie that I'm sure I got it wrong!) are two gorgeous kiddos. I've known both of these sweeties for a while since Brooklyn used to go to daycare with Billy. He was so cute - he kept patting the ground next to him for me to come take a seat! :) Kayleigh (see what I mean about tons of ways to spell Kailey?) is so very pretty, and she definitely loved to pose! :)

I think I would pay just about anything to have this exact image of my two babies. I am so glad to have captured this moment for you, Mom and Dad!
