Gorgeous location, gorgeous light, gorgeous girl | Murfreesboro Children's Photography {frogs and faeries}

Oh, I had the best session tonight. The best. We met at Old Fort Park - which is now my favorite location here in the 'Boro! It has fields upon fields of tall grasses and yummy golden light. (I will be taking Brooklyn here tomorrow to do her 4 year portraits!)

Landry's mom called me and said that she wanted to book a session before her little girl reaches that big childhood milestone of losing her front teeth. What a great reason for a session! Imagine my giddiness when they pull up, and I see the cutest (ok - beautiful!) little girl EVER! I knew from the get-go that this was going to be good.

And it was. There was only one little negative. I was introduced to what Dad calls stingweed. I'd never heard of it, but let me tell ya - I don't ever want to run into it again! I stepped back into some grass to get a wide shot of Landry, and immediately my leg began to sting and burn. It felt like a jellyfish sting. OUCH!

Don't worry about me though - I'm a pretty tough cookie. And there's not much I won't do for a picture!

At the end of the session, Mom looks at me a little worriedly and says, "Do you think we got some good ones?" Oh, yes, Mom. We got some AH-MAZ-ING ones.

First shot:

We found the biggest dandelions - I'm talking Jurassic Park sized dandelions! Landry had a blast blowing them!

I had a mental battle with myself over whether to preview this one in color or black and white. The color of the grasses is stunning, but there is something about the simplicity of the black and white that touches my soul.

I can easily say that this one my new ALL TIME favorite image! I adore it! Mom and Dad - this one has to be BIG in your house!

I love how the light just wraps itself around Landry here.

Landry's outfit was a perfect match for the trusty ol' green chair!

I can't lie - I really love this one too!

HEATHER,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME AND TAKING SUCH GREAT PICTURES OF LANDRY. SHE HAD A BLAST HAVING HER PICTURES MADE AND YOU REALLY CAPTURED HER PERSONALITY. WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE! OF COURSE AS PARENTS WE THINK SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND IT WAS SO KIND OF OTHERS TO COMMENT ON HER AS WELL.
